Waitrose come calling.

September 9th, 2011

Managers from Waitrose stores across the south of England visited the vineyard recently to learn a little more about managing vineyards in the UK climate. Waitrose actually have planted their own vineyard near Winchester, so nothing here was completely new to anyone, but great interest was shown none the less.

Having listned to a talk on the history of English Oak, it was down to business with a walk and talk between the vines, returning just in time for a tasting and canapes, before the heavens opened and our English summer showed everyone why growing vines in the UK is such a challenging choice of profession!

In any event, everyone seemed to enjoy the tour and we are grateful to them for arranging the event.
